This earring is claimed to be 18k white gold plated with a stainless steel post, and CZ gems. It seems plausible, the gems definitely don't look like really cheap glass ones but actually really nice and even if it's not gold the main body of the earring does look more premium. The posts are actually rough/scratched-up and unpolished though, which I don't like and make me worry it's making little micro-scratches in my earholes.The earrings came with two types of closure - silvertone and silicone ones, so that's always appreciated. For some reason these were put into a plastic bag loosely with a necklace card though, not a earring card - I guess maybe so the posts would be less likely to bend in transit? But I would have preferred a nicer looking box. Overall though, these are very nice looking earrings with a flexible design that could work for both dressy and casual outfits.I'm in love with these swingy, tiny, rose gold and CZ umbrellas. I'm just a little brokenhearted that they're clips because they would be so much easier for me to wear if they were posts. I don't know why that escaped me when I requested them. I guess because they're the only ones in this listing? Even so, they are so cute and adorable! The workmanship is very fine too. They're a steal at $13. Luckily, the earrings are not the very pinchy kind of clip and they have a silicone pad on the back to make the clips softer, more comfortable, and less slippery.
